Still not sure Red, Oh's magic touch just isn't working. The buttons and lights don't seem to be working. Cleaned the filter and the outlet pipe but still no go. It wirked for one cycle so at least it doesn't stink anymore.

Paid £20 off target card. Whole family went out for lunch as it will be a while before we are 'whole' again. DS1 is still out ferreting and DD2 has gone to Scout camp.

Estate agent phoned, he's lowered his asking price, still not sure its low enough. Have told sister and she's talking to BIL.

The universe I'm sure is testing me. Not only has the dishwasher gone on strike the washing machine has decided to join. Is this the universes way of saying I do too much washing? I am never buying another Hotpoint item EVER AGAIN!!!!!! Really and truly fed up. It takes ages for the one good washing machine doctor to come out as he is always booked up and at this moment in time I can't be @rsed. Feel like going out and getting a new one, except it would kill me to do so. Looks like I'll have to polish a rock and off to the stream I go, or is that OS going a bit too far?

Oh L, that's really rubbish isn't it. Our D/W gave up the ghost a while ago and we spent 5 months doing the washing up by hand because we couldn't face the hassle of getting it fixed. Eventually we cottoned on to the idea that it might be the outlet pipe. A bit of high powered draincleaner later, and the D/W was working fine again. Shame yours isn't that simple though.

Ohs wand must be broken because no magic has worked. Spent 2 hrs last night trying to get the washing machine to go. Typical a nice enought day to get some washing dry as well.

How old is your washing machine? I could do without a dishwasher (just!) but I could NOT do without a washing machine. You have 4 children so if funds run to a new one (even though it might go against the grain) then please don't stress yourself out being too MSE. i know we can get into the habit of paying off the debt, not spending etc but we need to balance our functioning lives and stress levels and making life as easy as possible too.

Morning Hypno and KM, wm is quite new about 2 yrs old and the dishwasher is 14 months old so not impressed with Hotpoin
at appliances at all.
