Day 2 in the grandmother house. All is calm on the granny front, off to work shortly. DS' are sorting out feret cages as all the babies went. Willtry and post some piccis later as they were very cute. The mummies aren't very impressed either. DD1 is going to a horsey event with her friend. I'm off to work shortly.
Just done the ironing. Made the caramel for the shortbread last night and need to purchase some cooking chocolate to finish it off and get some milk whilst I'm out.

L - I use Mr T or other supermarket - value chocolate for baking stuff - its cheaper than the cooking chocolate stuff (24p a bar) and better quality - they do it in milk/plain/white.
I've normally several bars in the cupboard - might be worth a thought? But you might not get that locally - sorry!!

Tis a recipe off the old style board, quick, cheap and filling !!!
In a bowl put
4 crushed weetabix
4oz caster sugar
4oz self raising flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
pkt chocolate drops (i use a 25p 100g tescos own milk chocolate chopped up)
mix this altogether
then take 4oz of melted marg and stir this into the mixture along with an egg
mix well and put in a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes at electric 180.
I put this mix into a square tin which measures 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches. I suppose you could use anything a similar size it would just turn out a bit more or less deeper. I also line the tray with greaseproof paper to save any sticking. Once out the oven let it stand for about 5 minutes then turn out the tray and cut into squares.Sealed pot challenge 822

Day 3 in the big grandma household. Lost 2.5lbs and well chuffed. That brings my total loss to 15lbs and finally over the stone mark. Took DS3 to the orthodontist has to keep his blocks in until Friday and then go onto nights only. After three months he's getting a fixed brace. Fun, fun, fun.
Mother is still breathing which always helps. Managed to get into work for 7 this morning. TOmorrow we're going for a second viewing and taking the children with us.
