I sometimes make porridge with all water and just a splash of milk for colour. No oats at the moment due to the hobnob recipe.

Managed 4 hours work last night and in again on Sunday subject to childcare. Been riding with all the children this morning, which went well. Made a payment off 2 cards £149.46, bringing this months payments in at £1110.14. Its lower that I would've liked but OHs wages are still down due to being off. Still not put the heating on and its quite warm today. Going to go and tackle the washing up.

Feeling fed up and weary today. Not sure why. OHs wages still down and still got loads of stuff to pay for. Off to work shortly so that should keep me out of mischief. Have a good day.

Hope you soon feel less weary - sometimes we feel as though we have hit a brick wall - we just need to allow ourselves the time to recover from that.....trying to "keep going" just wears us out even more.

difficult to do, I know, and I never seem to manage to take my own advice, but make a bit of space for yourself to pick up that energy again.

Thanks chaps. Looking forward to having a lie in tomorrow, trouble is my back starts aching if I lie to long!!! Forecast for snow later this week, Hypno do you fancy fetching your chaps up then they can get some practice in?

Old boy has gone lame, not sure if it was the ride or not as he hasn't got any shoes on as he keeps getting abscesses. Will wait and see what happens. DS1 is baking a cake, so no doubt the kitchen looks like a bomb has gone off in it, still will sample it later.

Managed 4 hours at work. That combined with the other night will pay for the horses next week. Work is very quiet at the moment. Feel like I'm rambling so I'll trundle off.

Sorry that the horse is sore. But the cake, however messy the kitchen, must be much appreciated, surely.....it is CAKE afterall :p

Cake was looking pretty good..................until the sodding cat attacked it!!!!! Have chopped off gnawed bits. DS1 is now busy slapping jam into the middle of it and 'sticking' them together. I'm going to find a box to put it in......the cake not the cat (tempting though that is).

Dont you just love cats! Hope the horses abscess clears up soon. My mare has had a nasty sounding cough for the past couple of days so it looks like she may need a little visit!

Enjoy the lie in x x

Hi, don't think it is an abscess. Ds1 forgot to cross the belly straps on his rug and he got his leg stuck. Lesson learned for DS1. I think with a bit of rest he will be fine. It could've been much worse. Had a lovely walk while we were up there and then went to pick up my bread order. Going to go and light the fire and chill out. Hopefully going to make lasagne and apple crumble for tea. Save some mince for spag bol tomorrow night as I have 2 extras staying over.
