No contingency plans. Think he is asleep in a van somewhere getting ready for tonights shift. He will be home tomorrow, even if I have to saddle up the hoss and rescue him (go me)!!!!

My chaps are 14,12,10 and 9. My 9 year old is in bed at 8. They do quite a bit of stuff. Each week 1 of them is responsible for feeding the hens and getting the eggs. They also have to do the litter tray. They get £2 for that. They have to take it in turns to wash up whatever hasn't gone in the dishwasher. They help clean the stove and fetch logs and coal and light the ruddy thing.

MY OH has been a long distance lorry driver (are we related). That was a really hard 12 months as the children were quite young. I did get into a routine and when he came back home for his new job it took a while to adjust having him around.

Thought of a few more things for my list
    7. Use the slow cooker more

Had another one but its disappeared. Think I am going to add up how much we pay in interest. Apart from 2 cards they are all fixed for LOB rate of 6.9%. Thinking about a 0% deal and just blasting the way through it. I know that's not the way to do it but I would leave it and pay the minimum and then go into headless chicken mode.

I have put some pork in the slow cooker ready for tomorrow. Hoovered everywhere. Daren't set foot outside incase I get snowballed as my little darlings show me no mercy and the oldest is a cracking shot, unlike me with my girly throws.

Feeling better now. Stiff upper lip and all that.

Just added up how much interest we are being charged per month on the credit cards and it comes in at £136.07. That would be better used elsewhere. Right off to read best deals on 0% ccs

Just been turned down for the Virgin card. Think its probably because we still have an MBNA somewhere that will need cancelling.

Applied for an Abbey card 0% for 15 months and requested a transfer of 3k, which would mean £50 pw to get it repaid. That seems doable, just have to see if it comes through.

Penguin that would be great, thanks. I'll pm you my address.

OH has made it home!!!!!!!!!! He had 2 hours sleep and then drove me down to the nags. Held my boy while I mucked him out, who decided he wanted to prance and bronc round the yard. Not impressed he has to be in 2 days on the trot. The old boy stretched his legs and scuttled back in. OH is now in the land of nod.

    Still snowing.

Next door neighbours mum has just phoned, she arrived back at her house to find that her pipes had frozen and water pouring from the light. She has gone back to her mums and I'm going round to check the ceiling is still up.
We have milk and bread and the world is ok at the moment. Can't see the children going to school at the moment which is going to affect my work plans.

Right off to check the house out.
