No it didn't smell, made sure I washed them. Got to go and rescoe OH from a snow drift and I've got the scary car!!

Well that was fun (not). Ended up getting both cars stuck. OHs car was nearly out of petrol and I thought it would be just our luck to get it out and then it would conk out. Managed to limp home where we had a can of fuel. OH has gone to try a different route. The lure of overtime.

Phoned a friend who lives closer to the horses and after the scary hill to ask him to put them out. Hopefully will be able to limp in later and muckout and bring them in.

Oh made it in. Got a gammon joint in the slow cooker, also got some broth mix soaking ready to make soup with the stock. Boys have stripped their beds so they are going in the machine. Off to do battle with the stove.

i had a blonde moment a few weeks ago, was making ISOM's brownies and couldn't figure out why the wouldn't cook properly and i'd forgotten the flour duh!

He has nicked my comfy ones, so I bought some new ones but don't like them. I think I almost just choked on my coffee - sounds like me shopping sometimes at lunchitime, in wellies, waterproofs and a hat, covered in mud and wondering why on earth I am getting amused looks from the shops keepers!!!!!

Wellies are very comfy! My funky coloured ones have just split right up the back - pah!

Will be asking santa for new wellies

Was going to buy OH his first pair but he might actually kill me.

I blame wellies for me having such big width fittings, as i have lived in them for so long.

3 loads of washing done. ironing done but will be built up again. Dinig room rediscovered. DD1 is attacking the bathrooms and doing a damn fine job!!!!

OH is having fun playing on the roads in his gritter and cursing the !!!!!! head drivers. He has been told more snow to come. Great! Got to drive loads tomorrow to get DS2s brace fitted.

DS1 has arranged his night out eith Young Farmers as there is no way I am driving up the valley tonight. Hopefully 1 of the sensible older ones will get him back in one of their 4x4s.

Got to venture out to do the nags!

Ventured and returned, horses ensconsed in reasonable cleanliness. Luckily I dried their beds yesterday so got away with a quick poo pick and soggy straw lift. Will hopefully get them up again tomorrow. Diving wasn't fun, don't think its come above freezing all day.

Been in scrubber mode all day and sort of got the kitchen done. Trouble is I'm feeling cream crackered and the DDs now want to make mince pies. I suppose its another job off the list. Tea is smeliing lovely. OH is still out just waiting for the nightshift to get in. Tis snowing further down but not sure when its going to hit us.

Arranged for my friend to be on standby tomorrow and he is definitely going to put them out on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Still have the mucking out to do. Actually I'm quite anal about it and there is something theraputic about shovelling !!!!!!. Probably just me.

Good that you have someone that can help you with the horses so that you do n't have to worry so much.
Make sure you get some rest as well.

Feet and legs are killing me. Must be time for a sit down. Oh has phoned he is on his way home. Gammon is cooked, pots, carrots and cauli are ready to rock and roll and to top it off a cheese sauce to make. Yum.

Gave in and made the mince pies so happy children and yummy mummy position reinstated. Ds1 off to Young Farmers Christmas meal. Hmmmm wonder what time he will return?

Desparate to get tea out the way and collapse in the bath and have a soak.
