Hi Piq, I did phone the CAB and they said the landlord is responsible for major structural repairs, to phone and follow up in writing. The builders have been and moved a few tiles but as far as I can tell they haven't done anything to the leak in our bedroom and repaired the hole in the ceiling which their man put in!

Forgot to mention the other day that OH left his mobile in his pocket and it has now been through the washer. Chaps on the techie board advise to leave it to dry out naturally, it isn't looking good. Oh is quite happy not having a phone but my telepathy skills are not what they should be and he keeps forgetting the milk!

Loan payment comes out today only another zillion payments to go. Have not been a good DFW today as I got 2 pairs of trousers and some underwear (very much needed). That is my winter wardrobe taken care of except for some decent boots. The cake baking session has been cancelled but I have a few orders in so I will probably do those tomorrow after Asda has delivered. Fingers crossed nice weather on Friday as I want to go riding. Hope everyone is well.

HI Lucielle. Sympathies re the loan..... just another 50 payments for me.

I've just looked at your signature properly - have you really paid off £12k in three months? How did you do that? I must have missed something major.

Thanks Frazzmunch, feeling a bit shattered today. i woke up at 4.30ish cos I thought I heard somebody in the house. Sent OH to investigate, he was a bit bleary eyed and couldn't find anything. I heard the cat miaowing and it was outside the kitchen window and I think it must have been him (little sod). Which brings me nicely to his other misdemeanor yesterday. He caught some furry critter fetched it inside, I tried to evict him and the critter. He dropped the beastie which then took up refuge under the tumble drier. At this point the dog decided it was a good game. Moved tumble drier and tried to catch it but it then liked the look of the fridge. Managed to pull that out and catch it. Trouble was it was utterly disgusting behind there and I couldn't pull the big fridge out to get behind there to clean. Any way OH came home moved the big fridge and I went into scrubber mode. Better go, got 6 sticky ginger cakes in the oven.

Just made several batches of the Hob Nobs with DD1. Don't think they will last over the weekend but we can hope. Its my wedding anniversary tomorrow. Not got anything planned as OH will be on call. Have got some Pimms in the fridge but alas no lemonade so I can't even have a drink. I had made some raspberry brandy and OH fancied a drink at the weekend and found it. It was supposed to be for Christmas (it was very nice). Got to go and pick up Ds1 from youth club shortly. Been invited out for lunch tomorrow so I can deliver the cakes I have baked and collect my bread order at the same time on the way back from the boys.

  • Hi Lucielle. I've had a good read of your thread this evening as you post on mine and I'm so impressed with what you've achieved in a year. Wow! All the talk of your baking is making me extremely hungry as well! Happy anniversary and I hope you had a lovely evening. Did you manage to find any alcohol? Every night is an alcohol free one for me if it is any consolation!
