Managed to get garden looking a bit tidier. Strimmer was a pain in the butt and kept getting caught up and then the wire wouldn't come out, toe is not hurting as much after kicking lawnmower:rotfl: Birthday cake baking in the oven I will ice it tomorrow. Making Chicken Korma for tea. All ready made the base sauce so just a question of adding the rest of the ingredients and turning it into korma. OH has been busy as well (apart from mending strimmer several times:eek:) he has sawn a load of logs ready for the winter. Still haven't got enough in to see us through yet. Just got some beef out the freezer for lunch tomorrow and will make an apple crumble, might if I can be bothered do Yorkies as well. I think I hear that bottle of wine calling.

Lucielle, can I come round for dinner? Sounds fantastic

Was it a good idea to kick the lawnmower? :D You seem a little more upbeat today, really glad as it was worrying to see you down.

I've been naughty and spent the greater part of the day doing horsey things :o Bad news on the saddle front, I need a new one - eek! Hoping to find a good second-hand one.

Horsey things for me on Tuesday me thinks. Have you get your own beastie? What size saddle do you need? Tea was ok, didn't quite stick to recipe and wasn't as good as the first time I made it. Empty plates all round though. Lawnmower was asking for it!!!!!!

I have a grumpy self opinioned 24 year old (going on 2) horse! He owns me. We've been together all his life, he makes the debt free journey interesting, but I can't get rid of him, somehow, we'll manage.

I don't know what size saddle he needs now, he's changed shape a bit, saddle fitter has lent me one and is coming out on Friday. I do hope it's not too expensive.

What on earth did the lawnmower do, they can bite back you know :rotfl:

2 loads washing on line another waiting to go out when I have room. All bedding washed. I'm feelin' good!!! DS2 happy with birthday pressies, cake iced and sat in fridge. Roast beef in the oven, veggies waiting to go on, 2 apple and raspberry crumbles made (1 to eat and 1 to go in the freezer).

    Things to do:
Clean hens out (hoping to commandeer a small child to do this, or a large one)
    Clean car out
Clean windows in preparation for the cling film (hate cleaning windows)
Deliver 2nd lot of Avon tonight.
    Tidy raspberry canes
    Dig spuds.

    Ok think thats enough.

  • Your list is very impressive Lucielle! Making me feel guilty as I am sat at work eating snack a jacks! I'm liking the sound of your crumbles-I've got loads of homegrown apples at home so I'm going to make some crumbles of my own this evening!

    Off my list I have:
    Cleaned hens out
    Delivered Avon
    Cleaned car
    Sorted out the raspberry canes
Not a bad start to the week but could do better (always hated it when teachers wrote that on my report). Should (fingers crossed) be at work in the morning. Have a friend coming for lunch, so must at least push the hoover round.

We still have half a hedgehog residing in the fridge. Trouble is every time I go in to get the milk I nick a flake so 'he' is nearly bald!!!!!!

Been to work, friend has been and gone and now just off to potter about.
