Lifetime ISA
I currently hold a Lifetime Isa with Skipton Building Society and have put £4000 in a few months ago which I believe will give me the government bonus of £1000. To receive the bonus for the next tax year 2019, am I able to pay an additional £4000 in around February time or would this have to be spread throughout the year?

Hi All, I have a specific goal in mind here... paying off my mortgage at 50 I would like to invest £50K and I was thinking I would put it into a couple of Index Linked Vanguard funds mainly due to the low fees and also because I have read so much that you cant beat the market so better to invest in it directly! savings over £3000
So I am well aware of current bank account switches and those with saving accounts attached, however, they only pay interest on amounts up to £3000. What if you have more than this (I have put aside money for house renovation) - any suggestions as to how you can gain interest on this money in an account? - thanks.

Etoros' costs
I am thinking about buying some bitcoin. I understand the risks and I am going to use the little money I have left at the end of the month. I have plenty savings as well, so I am not using all of my savings to bet on bitcoin. I just want to invest a very small amount to understand the mechanics of it. I am trying to…

Unexpected interest rate reduction
Just received this from the Coventry Building Society: This email is to let you know that we’re reducing the variable interest rate on this [30 day notice] account with effect from 16 March 2018. We realise that this isn’t good news for savers. However, as mortgage rates have continued to remain low, we’ve regretfully had…

Does pension tax-relief apply to dividend income?
This year I will get (let's say) £10,000 from dividends on top of an average salary in 20% tax range. Let's say £30,000 £5,000 of the dividend income is tax-free as the dividend allowance I think. The next £5,000 is taxed at 7.5%? Not 20%? - what gov.uk site tells me So if I made a £10,000 pension contribution in this…

Smaller companies within a wider portfolio
I would appreciate knowing what proportion of equities people generally hold as Smaller Companies/SMEs as I wonder if I am a little high. SmCo/SME funds make up 29.4%-34.7% of the equities I hold: UK: 35% of my equities are SmCo/SME (Liontrust UK Sm Co, the rest in LT UK) Europe: 43% (Baring Europe Select, the rest in…

Should I keep investing into VLS?
I opened a Stocks and Shares ISA In Feb of last year with Charles Stanley Direct and put £12k into the Vanguard Lifestrategy 80. I've not put anything more into that since then. I'm also saving money for a house deposit and a new car in a couple of years. Mostly likely two to three years. So I've got a HTB ISA which I've…
