Has anyone taken out a LISA - which is best one
Hi, I am interested in pursing a LISA as a long term saving option - current age 30's and have got a mortgage/house. I like the idea of better growth with £4000 a year with a stocks and shares isa but don't want to pay huge costs and ideally nothing too risky where my capital disappears! Has anyone taken one out - I have…

I'm about to start a new job, with a decent income boost so want…

Individual Shares Legal & General etc
I still have a bit of spare cash left in my ISA allowance this year (£5K), and I want to have a dabble in individual company shares. At the moment I am currently swaying towards buying into Legal & General. It is a well established company and has a good yield but before I take the plunge does anybody else have any views…

X-O /Jarvis broker awful service
Hi I have been using various online platforms over the years eg HL, III, Iweb, Vanguard direct and switched my shares to X-O last year due to their low execution fees eg £5 per trade, but their overall plaform is awful! HTB to LISA transfer can i go above 4k?
I have just swapped £2k from a HTB ISA into a LISA. £600 of this was paid before 6th April 2017. I then added another £2k to top up to my £4k LISA limit. Because the £600 was paid into the HTB before 6th April 2017. Does this mean i can actually put £4.6k into my LISA for this tax year? If anyone knows and can share with…

Asking on behalf of aged in-laws... They have POA for an aged relative who has had to go into a care home and won’t be coming out again. She has pensions but they leave a shortfall of £2k a month for the fees which is currently being funded by her rapidly diminishing savings. Her house will have to be sold - she lived…

NS&I 3 Year Bond 2.20%
I have just noticed that NS&I are now offering a 3 year bond at 2.20% with a maximum of £1 million per person. This is in addition to the 3 year 2.20% bond that is limited to £3,000 per person. I assume that this is new as it it not listed on the main MSE savings page. It is though surprising that there has been no…

There is also an "i" within a circle. When I click on this I am told the site is not fully secure. I tested the address on "why no padlock.com" and…

ISA about to reach £85K - what should I do?
When this year's interest is added my ISA will go over the £85K mark. Is it possible to split it and transfer 50% to two new ISA accounts, or can I only transfer the whole amount to one new ISA? Obviously I want to spread my money to keep it safeguarded, but without having to withdraw the money and lose the tax free…

Missed Skipton LISA transfer deadline
As the title says really, I've missed the deadline for the HtB ISA transfer in date so my money is now stuck in my HtB ISA. I guess I can just do a standard bank transfer to get the money into the LISA account but I can't take advantage of the contributions I've made before the 2017/18 tax year. My questions is does anyone…

Having more than one LISA account
Ok first of all I have missed the Skipton deadline so I can't do anything about that anymore. So here's what I am suggesting and I would appreciate it if anyone can let me know if this is breaking any of the rules. We all know there's a loophole we can take advantage of to deposit more than the £4k allowance since the…
