Hi, We have a large record collection but we may be moving house soon so we were thinking of selling them. This might be a stupid question but is this a good idea or will records be worth more in the future and should we hang on to them? They are mostly dance/hard house and some indie records. Thanks.:)

Just thought I would let people know that the branch of That's Entertainment in Chester will be closing on 7 July 2013. Apparently it was due to the landlord demands for more rent. Currently is was £65,000 a year and the landlord wanted £150,000. This is not the first time that this has happened. There was a branch in…

Like a lot of people I know, I weirdly got rid of my stereo system with record player but not my records! I would now like to play them / get onto MP3 or DVD format. I'm looking for something compact (if that's possible) - can anyone recommend anything? Something along these lines:…

My old portable radio/cd player has eventually died. Now looking for a new one. I want a cheap DAB radio/cd player. Looked at the usual shops online & can't really see anything that could be classed as cheap. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

It is on neighbours. http://www.channel5.com/shows/neighb...s/episode-6632 what song is playing at 13.47, for a few minutes. What song is that playing ?

Hi I was looking around and the old metal cassette boomboxes like JVC sell for a fair bit. What's so special about them? I mean who on earth uses cassettes these days?

I'm searching for some CD's online and I am aware of discogs and i've found music stack (although unsure on them) and even Amazon have 1 that I want, but is anyone aware of any other places I could go to look for rare-ish CD's, that are reputable and could be cheaper than discogs? I'd like to explore more options if there…

Not really sure where I should post this, so thought MUSIC category would be a good start. I wondered if anyone knew whether pre-sale passwords were published on the web? I'd like to grab 2 tickets for Rod Stewart's concert, which are on presale now, but you require a password. I just wondered if anyone knew what the…

Is anyone else still waiting for DM tickets for the May concerts in London (28/5 + 29/5) from Ticketmaster? Bought a ticket months ago on Ebay and seller told me he would get back in touch when he had the ticket in hand. I haven't heard anything since and was thinking about getting in touch with him but if others are still…

Went to but a copy of Nick Cave's new album a couple of days ago. Out of stock. Apparently it is not being reprinted. !!!!!!? Instead I downloaded/stole a flac of the music. Why do publishers not care about their remaining consumers? From poorly remastered music to no booklets in films what is going on? Why is there such a…

Having just watched the excellent 'When Albums Ruled the World' documentary on BBCiPlayer, I have a hankering to get hold of a record deck and start to re build a vinyl collection. I have had a little mooch on ebay and am aware that vinyl LPs can be bought really cheaply, as can record decks, but I am not knowledgeable…

Hi, I wasn't sure if I was allowed to post a 'for sale' thread - are we allowed to do so? Or is this against the rules? If so, where would be the best place online to sell an amplifier that I don't use much. Many thanks for your help in advance! Jay
