DRO and bank accounts
Hello, I am likely about to go through the process of setting up a DRO. I have spoken to Step Change and have done a lot of research, including reading through many of the posts on this forum, so I'm confident that I'm fairly well informed about what I'm getting into. One area that I'm still a little concerned about is…

IVA closure fees £300
I’ve contacted Hannover Insolvency a few times in the past to see if I could pay my off my IVA with money which would be gifted to me. They required photo ID and a letter as well as bank statements from the person gifting the money to me, which isn’t a problem but made it less of an incentive to the 3rd party. I was…

Hi Everyone! Thanks to support on here, in November 2018 I was successful in applying for a DRO. The moratorium period ended in November 2019. I have had a look on my credit file, and none of the debts included have been marked either with the 'correct' default date, or marked default at all. I only checked because I was…

IVA - paying more to CreditFix than is owed
Hi,A friend of mine is almost 4 years into an IVA with CreditFix. Total debts of £5,500 were included in the IVA and it was agreed she would pay £5,100 over the five years. However, she has only quite recently realised that the total debt amount in the IVA has reduced to £4,500. This is due to £1,000 of debts owed to…

As you know, crypto values go up and down, but my fear for any DRO is what happens if the value of…

Hi I am about to send off my application for DRO shortly, but I have been advised that because o2 list their handsets as a loan this has to be included in my DRO and that o2 may cancel my account altogether because of this.
