Buy chemists "own-brand" paracaetomol suspension instead of Calpol...much cheaper!!!!
When I need to buy medicine I know that you should buy the chemists "own-brand" or "generic" product rather than a branded product, eg, buying ibuprofen instead of Nurofen coz it's much much cheaper. When I thought I was pregnant I bought the generic test-kits and they were £6/7 for 2 instead of £15-20 for the well-known…

Very very cheap hair mask
Hello All, I originally bought a large bottle of Tesco Value hair conditioner (31p for 500ml) as a suds killer for my vax. But decided in one of my madder moments to give it a go as a hair mask. Toothsmith - can I have a cup of tea?
Hello Toothsmith, wonder if you can help with a couple of things? I'm halfway through my teeth whitening program with my dentist (have the moulded teeth trays and am using ACP day white). I've been told to avoid tea and coffee but if I absolutely must, then drink through a straw. Is this really OK to do? Also, will I have…

NHS vs Private Dentists
What do you think? I've been with a private dentist for years. It meant that I could get appointments for me and the children either early morning, late nights or Saturdays. As a single parent it was important for me not to have too much time off work. The practice has now changed and it's all private so no more access to…

Buying juicer Vs Buying juice in glass bottles?
I'm considering buying a juicer to try and help my ailing health. I was wondering if it would be worth buying one with having to prepare the veggies, overall cost of juicing, clean the juicer etc or just buy a glass bottle of vegetable juice from the health shop at £2.50 a week. Anyone got any thoughts on it?
