Why do posters close competition posts?

Hi All Is anyone else having issues with your comments being removed as Facebook are classing them as 'going against their community standards'?! I report this as false but never receive a response. It's only just competition posts and nothing I say is rude/offensive. I'm not quite sure why it keeps happening.

Strava competitions
I see quite a few strava competitions for brands such as brooks etc. for completing x many miles/km walking/running/cycling/whatever... Would people find it useful if I posted ones that I see? I'm not sure how many strava users we have here!

'Old' competitons
I have noticed over the past few days a lot of comps being posted that are weeks or even months old - i.e. they have been live for ages. Ones from December, November and even last October. Now I know the search on here is almost 100% useless but i can't believe that most of these haven't been posted previously
