How much would you spend/did you spend on your wedding?
Recently I went to a cousins wedding and was shocked on how they spent nearly £50k, though it was her family and grooms family that put up and whilst the limo ride over at teh country manor was a hoot I would never spend or expect to be spent on my big day. Is that a pretty standard amount to spend? How much did you spend?…

What to expect at a dress sale?
I know this probably seems like a really obvious one but I genuinely am not sure what to expect. I am going to a dress sale on Saturday at one of the local hotels and I am taking my Mum for a bit of mother/daughter bonding. I decided to bite the bullet and buy tickets to the VIP hour to see if it is worth doing in the…

Bride's necklace on Casualty
Not sure if anyone watches this, but on Saturday's episode there was a bride, and I loved her necklace. It looked fairly simple, maybe about 8 pearls with a heart pendant in the middle, possibly on a wire type chain. I've looked online quickly, but typically I'm actually busy at work today so not been able to find an…

Do I need a top table?
Please help, my partner and I get married next November and we're both very shy people. Because of this we didn't want a sit down meal, no speeches etc and instead decided to have a late afternoon ceremony followed by an after party at a local hotel which will be a simple case of bar, disco and buffet. My MIL to be keeps…

Whose wedding is this?
I was chatting with my Mum today and she asked how our venue viewing was going. Then she said "Do I get to see any of these venues with you?" I said, "well it's up to me & Simon but maybe you could come & have a look when we're narrowing it down/have decided" so she said "Oh I don't get to see until you've chosen?"…

Wedding photographer help Yorkshire
Hello, A couple of months ago I visited a wedding fair at the Cedar Court hotel just out side Huddersfield and met an amazing photographer who during the wedding breakfast would print a picture of me and H2B leaving the church on to an A2 piece of card for our guests to sign in the evening which we thought was a brilliant…

How to make homemade confetti?
Hi all - I hope this thread is in the right place, as it is wedding related and I have done a thorough forum search and couldn't find anything quite answering my question. I am married, so this is not for my own wedding but more for others. I used to have lovely rose bushes in my old garden and I would prune the heads off…
