Bulging Brides
Has anyone seen this show on LivingTV? The exercise element is great but the brides I've seen seem to eat total and utter rubbish.

Should I feel guilty?
A few weeks ago I went dress shopping with one of my bridesmaids and I fell in love with a dress. I didn't order it at the time because I wanted to try on a few more to make sure. Last week I went to a bridal shop with my mum but they were very busy and i didn't get chance to try any on but we looked through some books…

Starlight Twinkle Backdrop Curtain
Hello Folks I've been asked to do the wedding stationery and dress the room for a friend of mine who's getting married soon. Although, I'm used to making wedding stationery on a regular basis and have dressed a few rooms before now, I haven't been asked for one of these curtains before. I've been googling and they seem…

I'm so excited, my OH popped the question last weekend and I'm finally announcing it to my best friends tonight... just thought I'd share how I've chosen to ask them a big question of my own!

Now married; thank you all.
I married my highschool sweetheart a week ago on the 24th July 2010, after 7 years together and a 4 year engagement. Everything went perfectly; it didn't even rain!! (There were small hiccups like the fact that none of our poundland corkscrews worked and we forgot to lay out the side plates and salt and pepper when we were…

Gift lists - what do you think?
I'm struggling with the whole idea of a gift list. I've been married before so I feel a bit guilty putting a list together and asking peole for stuff. We don't really need anything either - we're in our thirties and are already living with each other. And - we're both quite MSE and try to be gentle on the environment so we…

Wedding cars Chester area
Anyone ever heard anything about Belles and Beaus cars, based in Chester? I've got quotes from a few places and they are coming in very reasonable...just would love some reassurance they aren't too good to be true. Or if anyone has any other recommendations I'd be grateful to hear them

Thankyou cards\Vistaprint
I have seen the special offer on free business cards through vista print and thought it was an excellent idea to use as mini thankyou cards on the table at our wedding. Going through the designing now but I'm unsure as to what I should actually write? I have tried putting "thank you for coming to our special day" on the…

PPI pays for wedding spending
The title may be a bit misleading but there is someone in the credit card forum that has mentioned they have PPI on their card and it covers certain lifestyle events one of them being weddings, they pay a total of 15% over 3 months of your balance each month so 5% each month. I thought I'd mention it down here in case…

Civil ceremony music ideas needed please!
Hello, we've already decided on 3 songs including Everlong (Acoustic version) by Foo Fighters and One day like this by Elbow. :) Not too sure on a few other tracks: Strange and Beautiful by Aqualung Black Spider by Mogwai (not bad but maybe a little too underwhelming) Lujon by Henry Mancini (fab but doesn't go with the…

Anyone hired a Magician for a wedding?
We are thinking about hiring one, and have had a few quotes already. Some are booked up too. One was for £275, and the other 2 were £475 so a big jump. All 3 have websites and good comments on their page. Is there anything we should be looking for? Its for 2 hours. Has anyone hired one here, and is the price the approx…
