Thames Water metre reading frequency
How often does Thames Water do the metre reading for you? The reason why I ask is because my last bill states the 'Previous reading' was 186, but when I checked my water metre this morning it shows 391(88) ???? The 186 reading is off the 27th Sept 2011 - 7 March 2012 2012 and it doesn't say 'Estimated reading' next to it.…

Selling hoses during hosepipe bad - Morally wrong or not
Do you think it is wrong for supermarkets in the middle of a hosepipe ban area to start selling hosepipes and accessories? I think seeling them in the middle of an area where there is a ban sends out the wrong message.

I'm having a new rear extension built (32 SqM)and I am advised that the rainwater from the new roof together with the rainwater from the exitsing roof (at the back), will have to go to a soakaway rather than into the drains (the rainwater from roof has previously gone into drain). Hosepipe ban - anyone's water company actually told them about it?
I have been expecting to get a letter through the door from Anglian Water about the hosepipe ban... But nothing. I know about it from all the coverage online but what about all those people who don't use the internet much? Word's no doubt getting around among neighbours, but I'm surprised the water company hasn't actually…
