Do you think it is wrong for supermarkets in the middle of a hosepipe ban area to start selling hosepipes and accessories?
I think seeling them in the middle of an area where there is a ban sends out the wrong message.

If they are dirt cheap then bring it on.I love a bargain.Doesn't mean I will use it before the hosepipe ban ends.0

No, because they could be for commercial use, or for one of the allowed purposes such as connecting to a soaker hose or a drip feed system.
I don't think that Hozelock would be too happy if hosepipe sales were banned outright! No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
If a hosepipe ban were imposed in my area it wouldn't affect me as my house uses a rainwater storage system that I took the time, effort & money to invest in, not mains water - so why shouldn't I be able to replace my hose - or the many other people that have exceptions to a ban?0

Do people have to use a hosepipe they've bought instantly?Said Aristippus, “If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.”

Hosepipes can be used for many things that do not contain mains water.
Just think of all the colonic irrigation places that need new ones.0 -
Is it morally wrong to allow more people to come to the country than the infrastructure can support ?
And what is up for banning next ? Doctors appointments ?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
