Extending wifi
As a bit of background, I live in an old bungalow with fairly thick walls. The layout also means that there is a fairly long distance from one end of the property to the other. I have a fast full fibre internet connection with a good wifi signal when in the same room as the router. To use a PC in a different room, I have…

Testing and returning headphones during Covid
Hi all, I’ve seen similar questions to this in the past, but still don’t seem to answer my question, but apologies if I’m repeating stuff that’s been answered elsewhere. Basically, I work from home right now, in a job (academia) where being able to concentrate for long periods is essential. I’ve found my old noise…

Access (or excel) check for fields with no data
I receive a CSV file with circa 1m rows in it and circa 50 columns (were you to convert it into a flat table) and at present this goes into an Access db with all fields set to text. Column 1 defines what record type the row is (there are 4 types A-D) and therefore what the data in each column represents so column 5 is…

Can I unlock an O2 internet dongle?

I'm trying to use this with a Virgin SIM but it tells me the device is locked and gives me 5 attempts to enter an unlock code. Any idea how or…

Continually pausing windows updates
I keep pausing these because I don't want Windows 10 version 2004. I am sure I read somewhere that pausing only blocks feature updates and that you still get security updates. Is this correct? Also, if I end up having to just let version 2004 install, if it isn't okay can I revert to version 1909 easily?
