I have not used this old Nexus 7 Tablet for a long time and managed to charge it and perform a hard reset.  Unfortunately I cannnot remember the pin.  Is there any way I can sort this.  I have a Google account for my newer tablet but, so far, I have not had any success in trying to get 'into' the old Nexus 7.  (I had given the tablet away and it has recently been returned to me.)
Thank you for any help or advice.

The PIN was forgotten.  Thank you both for replying.  Somehow (I'm afraid I'm still not good with technology - but getting better and have appreciated help on this forum  a number of times, thank you) -  I have only just now managed to do a factory reset on it.
I'm not sure but I think I may have struggled to reset it  properly at first attempt because there may not have been enough charge on it.

If this is the original N7 2012 model then I've read that they are very slow, even after a factory reset. Putting on a custom ROM like LineageOS 14 or similar makes the device more usable.

    Hope this helps. :)

Thanks Jenni_D.  Yes - it really is 2012, slow and sluggish.  It had not been used for such a long time and it took over 14 hours to fully charge.  One app I use, Lectio 365, did download from Play Store but is not compatible.
It is not my main tablet but it is a helpful learning process for me to try.  I'll look at the ROM LineageOS 24 you mention to see if it's  something worthwhile I could attempt, thank you.

It seems version 15.1 is compatible with the N7 2012. :)

Some people also like to install a custom launcher, such as Nova Launcher.
