cycle forum
With rising oil prices and people looking to reduce costs, wouldn't it be a good "moneysaving" topic to have a forum on cycling/commuting, i've recently taken to commuting to work on a bike and I feel fitter and financially better off. Its around 8 miles to my place work and I never thought I could actually manage it, but…

Font Colour - Can I Change It?
There are various posters on here who use coloured font which I am unable to read. Is there anything I can do so that it's all in black/navy please? Someone (not on here) suggested that I do something to my internet settings, but this makes no difference at all.

A&L using Martin's name to sell life insurance?
Hi I just thought I'd make Martin or the MSE team aware that Alliance and Leicester are quoting Martin in order to try and sell life insurance. When I was in the branch this morning there was a poster on the counter with various quotes and one of them was: I'm not sure if they have permission to do this, or even need…

Can we have a Pet moneysaving forum?
Pets can be very expensive to keep depending on the type of pet you have; with insurance now available for pets and sometimes extortionate vet prices; I think it would make sense to have a section for us pet owners. The reason I ask is because I have just got two new puppies; a cocker spaniel pup and an english springer…

Forum keeps timing out today
Not sure why but in the last 20 minutes or so I have been kicked out of the forums about 3 or 4 times. It's when I go to reply to a message and click reply I keep getting a Internet explorer message saying check your connections/have you got the right address/page not found - that sort of thing. I keep trying to refresh -…

Empty Planes - MSE opportunity??????
Extracts from The Times today: Britain’s third-largest airline, bmi, will fly near-empty aircraft from this autumn to preserve multimillion-pound take-off and landing slots, The Times has learnt. Flybe, an Exeter-based airline, has already advertised for actors to fly between Norwich and Dublin to boost passenger numbers.…

Incorrect info on site
There are a couple of high paying regular savings accounts which can be opened in children's names. This means that, if as is usual, your child doesn't earn enough to pay tax, they're tax free (a full explanation of children's account ax is in the Best Child Savings guide). The Halifax's Children's Regular Saver pays 10%…

A suggestion to improve 'Thanks' system from a newbie
Please note, this is before I even noticed the other thread about the Thanks button. As a relative newbie on this site, I often find it hard to recognise who is a 'troll' especially if they have made lots of posts and have lots of 'thanks.' I thought, would it be possible to ensure that you couldn't thank another user…

Forum RSS not working?
I use the forum RSS feeds from time to time to see the top posts on some forums. I've just noticed that the top posts listed in Firefox seem to be dated 18th June. So they have not been updated since then. For example, for the "Shop but don't drop" forum the top link is entitled "abltsupplies" and the URL is…

Lost Reply/Being logged out
I logged in and made a quick reply to a thread. It was a detailed post and took me some time to compose. When I pressed preview, I was asked to log in again and was then given a totally blank page. I tried back-tracking but the text wasn't refreshed. I have had this problem with re-logging in but this is the first time my…

Do the recent emails show a disturbing trend?
...Might just be me this... I've been receiving the MS email for a few years now, and have always been confident in the integrity of the stuff that is sent out- I still don't doubt it, but does anyone feel that it's getting less 'editorial attention'? I'm thinking about this weeks, for example. The headline reads…

Boards Not Being Marked As 'Read'
On the Benefits & Tax Credits Board, all the thread are marked as read/having no new posts. Yet on the forums homepage, it's not marked as read. Why?
