    I'm a journalist (a qualified one too ;) not a financial adviser. I write articles, do anlysis and research into products.

    The financial qualifications that exist don't cover the subjects on the site. The discipline of Money Saving didnt exist when I started; its been something I've developed as my speciality using journalistic methods and analysis.

    I would imagine that those in older generations may disagree with this, my Gran certainly would have! ;)

    I don't think it did in terms of a journalistic sense - I guess that's what he meant. There were general consumer issues journalists but no specific - personal finance - save yourself money by shopping around journalists - or very few anyway.
