Matalan - any good?
I'v recently started working in a new office smack in the middle of a trading estate and just down the road is a Matalan store. I've never shopped there before so I was wondering what MSEs think of it? I am a bit of a fan of cheap/discount clothing (especailly for kids stuff as they wear or grow out of things so fast, or…

Don't forget Iceland for savings
I mean the shop - I believe Iceland the country is quite dear. We got a pack of rindless back bacon (9 rashers) from our local store at the weekend and it was £1.00. This was the normal price and it is at least double in Mr T's. They don't just do frozen stuff.

There is one nearish us but would be a bus journey or taxi journey which costs at least £4.40 soo figured I'd register and do my shopping online since delivery is only £4.00 and I'd get £5 cashback from quidco. Registered, looked at the 'store' then froze. Where to…

Fruit Shoot H20 - Tesco £1
£1 at Tesco for 4. Apple, Orange and Blackcurrant. My OH loves these and they are normally £1.60-£1.80 for 4 so quite a nice saving. Only 6 allowed per customer. I bought some on my online shopping and went to my local Tesco express and got some more!

weekly or daily shop?
I am debating about whether to change to a daily shop rather than a weekly one. There would be less waste and more fresh ingredients. Does anyone else do a daily shop?

Costco / Makro
Has anyone found one to be better than the other? I find Costco to not have a wide variety of things (e.g. rice brands I've never heard of!, no Volvic water, no Yorkshire tea etc.) Makro seems a bit better. Views invited. Where to shopkeepers shop?

PORKINSONS sausages £1 at ASDA.
PORKINSONS £1 for 6 at ASDA. PORKINSONS sausages are the best and are about £3 at Morrisons. This is less than half usual price at ASDA and is a bargain. I bought a few packs for my freezer. Too good for the barbie though unless you are really good. Enjoy, Ian.
