Don't forget Iceland for savings

Options
I mean the shop - I believe Iceland the country is quite dear. We got a pack of rindless back bacon (9 rashers) from our local store at the weekend and it was £1.00. This was the normal price and it is at least double in Mr T's. They don't just do frozen stuff.

Good point. I actually have forgotten about Iceland and think I'll mosey over there tomorrow! Also I like the free delivery if you spend £40- very handy.

I find it ok for a limited items.

As everything is rounded up. So something you could get in say Asda for 89p is a £1 in iceland.

although the savings by going to asda for me would be wasted on petrol so it a bit of a balancing thing for me at the mo,

Also they don't do value lines which saves a lot of money.

If you buy a 100 items that are all over priced by 10p that is £10 saved and you could have got asda delivery for less than that and you have never had to leave home.

I did think that when you said about the fuel.

But I was more speaking in general terms.

One reason I don't shop in somerfield as some things are at least 20p more expensive for the same item from sainsburys and they aren't cheap either.

we have iceland, tescos and asda all in our town, time and time again we have proved that doing the shopping in iceland first and getting the remainder of the shopping at asda or tescos to be the cheapest by a large amount.

there frozen chicken chunks for £3.50 for 1kg bag just can be beaten if you make a lot of chicken pasta.

They round prices down as well! Twin pack of HobNobs - 1 plain + 1 choc for £1.
Pasta salad twinpack, £1. Their £1.50 pizzas are great value. 454g set honey, £2 (jar says 100% extra free, but it always does!)
I "big" shop at Sainsbury's, but walk to Iceland for extra bits and pieces, several times a week.
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.
