Employee Share Incentive Plan... Feeling ripped off, is this Right??
I'm feeling distinctly ripped off after taking part in an employee share purchase scheme, hopefully someone can confirm if the situation is correct. I'll try and keep this as concise as possible with bullet points- - I contributed £23 a week of my pre-tax pay for 18 months to purchase the shares, so approximately £1,800 in…

NEXO saving
Hi I just wanted to make people aware or see if if anyone else has had any experience using Nexo. I was dubious at first as I couldn't believe the massive interest rates especially if you buy NEXO toxens and become a platinum holder. 10% of NEXO tokens of total investment needed but interest rate is 12% on GBP!! I put in…

Rebalancing portfolio
I have started looking at my retirement portfolio with a view to 'fixing' it, and getting it ready to provide me with an income for what's left of my life. I simply do not have enough trust in financial advisers to go through the process of choosing another one at random. If an IFA were to come along with a recommendation…

Child saving accounts
In their own article on this site (see junior isa page, is wont let me post a link) it is suggested that children pay tax on their savings like adults, and can earn a certain amount in interest each year. However most children's accounts (eg Halifax) are set up as trusts as the child is too young to manage an account and…

Herald small uk companies v. China Special Situation - zero corelation ?
You'd expect almost zero corelation between these two funds, I bought into both to add diversification to my predominantly global tracker portfolio, and I noticed whenever I looked these two funds appeared track each other. I suppose it's just co-incidence...

Where should I put my rainy day/emergency fund?
I have some money set a side for rainy day/emergency fund. It’s just sat in a basic savings account. Ideally it could do with gaining interest as well as easy access. Would I be better saving them both rainy day and emergency fund together or as separate pots. I probably won’t need any rainy day money for about 3years.

Should my mum sell her property?
Thanks for reading. My mum is retired, mortgage free and owns two investment properties which provide her a pretty good income (makes up for the small pension). I have just received an email from Marcus advising that they have released an app, currently only available for IOS but soon to be available for Android. I have just downloaded it and it appears to do what a banking app should. Let us hope that they soon bump the rate up to make it worthwhile. It is though, the best…

Aldermore 1 year fix at 1%
Please be aware if anyone is thinking of applying for this account: 1. it is the single most convoluted application I have EVER seen 2.
