Reinvesting dividends in the UK: best platforms?
I'm looking to identify the best possible online brokerage investing platform in the UK, specifically with regards to reinvesting dividends. Investment for beginners?
hi guys, Since the interest rates banks are offering are going down the gutter, I'm looking to get into cautious investing of a small part of my weekly income. I'm thinking of between £50-100/wk. Lloyds club 4% question
Not sure if this is in the correct sub forum but here goes. Currently have a Santdander 123 which I want to leave. Due to the £5 fee and reduced interest I will not be making much interest. I am considering the Lloyds 4% but do not earn £1500 per month to pay in. I earn £1450 so would incur the £5 monthly fee. Do you know…

Are they to similar to be worth it? and better just adding money to the VLS 60. I know also there would be LG fund charges to add, but not platform charges? as my ISA is with charles…

First Direct Savings Accounts
Hi, With regards to the 5% fixed for 12 months - I understand the account closes at the end of the 12 months. Can you open another (if the interest is still as good) or is it a case of you only get one chance with it as a customer? I ask as I don't know whether to open now (on maternity leave, may be able to squirrel a bit…

How do dividends work in simple terms.
Good-day folks. If an investment fund pays £1.883 per year (I know it can change), and you have 100 shares @ £158.49 per share (£15,849). The end of the year comes around and the fund pays out £1.883 per share you have? £188.3 for a £15,859 investment? This seems awfully low return for nearly £16,000. That's barely 1.1%…

Direct Debit Guarantee sort of sort of backwards
OK So a strange problem with a direct debit. It seems that the money which should have been collected hasn't been. Now normally that would be good. I've not been asked for the money, and it seems as if the company has forgotton that I owe them money. The problem is that I've just noticed I've not been paid 3 months of £5…

Mortgage saving advice
Hi all, Since January I have been putting a big effort into saving a deposit for a potential future mortgage. I'm addicted to saving
I'm 28 and currently save 50% of my income. 40% goes on rent, 10% goes on bills and then other 50% goes into savings. I only have £20k in savings but I'm absolutely terrified of being old and broke that I frantically save every penny I can. It's getting a bit ridiculous, I won't even buy myself a £40 video game for fear…

Which type of investment for stability
Hi everyone, just curious as to which type of investments are considered the most stable. So they may only may 3% - 4% per year or some but they're pretty darn stable. I know nothing is guaranteed but gaining 3% or 4% each year is more favourable to me than potentially gaining or losing 15%. So what type of investment…
