Saving for the Grandchildren
I'd like to start saving a little money each month for the grand children, so that they have something for university, or house deposit etc. However I don't want just a standard account for them. The missus did this for the kids, before I was on the scene, and to be quite honest none of them have anything to show for it,…

Using two brokers?

Investment platforms - one or many?
I invest in multiple funds but all through the Charles Stanley Direct platform. Do other investors stick to one platform, or use several? Should the risk be spread around i.e. by using multiple platforms? That seems a sensible idea for me in case of the small risk of one running into financial trouble or an account getting…

How to get a cash card from Lloyd's bank?
Hey, so I've recently set up a savings account with Lloyd's bank. I was wondering, how do I get a cash card from them for this account? It said online that a cash card is optional and can be provided. Do I drop into the branch or call them up as the online option isn't there. Thank you! :)

Alternatives to property and pension..
Now that the buy to let game is going to be coming to an end, what is a good strategy for investing excess cash? Currently own a 170-180k property fully, with the plan to buy another with my OH and rent out my one. Now, if we can buy before 31/3/16 then all ok but if not, I'm not prepared (and cannot afford) the extra hit…

buy to let -Out!
Given the debates people have here about the best placement for lump dump investment, given Mr Osborne recent budget, is the mail finally in the coffin for new or existing (small scale) entrants into this exploitative and turbulent investment channel? And small, steady passive tracking wins Everytime (and tax free). *opens…
