UK Domicile and IHT
I'm born and raised in the UK, having never left the country. How long do I need to be domiciled in another country to 'remove' the UK as my domicile (with a view to removing any IHT liability in the UK)? Presumably I would also have to sell any assets in the UK too?

Have others specifically invested for the perks? Living in the Shetland Islands, at the…

The £85K protection, or risk it?
I just wondered what people thought about the risk associated with not following the 'recommendation' of keeping no more than £85K in each banking group. i.e. I'm aware that big banks have collapsed in the past, but there's usually some king of warning . . . . so I guess I'm trying to understand the size of the risk of…

Dealing in penny shares
Apart from the odd topical shares, such as BT & British Gas sold way back, the only other shares I have ever owned have been those arising from building society demutualisations. These were also sold many years back. I own no shares in any company at the moment. I am thinking of dabbling a small amount, just £100 on buying…
