Nationwide Loyalty Saver 2.4% if you have had a mortgage or account with them for 15yrs. Instant access and unlimited withdraws so better than mysave.
Tiered rates dependant upon how long you have been with Nationwide or Dunfermline, Derbyshire and Cheshire Building Societies. 5 yrs member 2%, 10 yrs member 2.2% and 15yrs plus 2.4%.
Just closed my mysave account and opened one of these
Downside is you have to go into a branch to open one but once open you can manage online..

It's been around for some time. The current version is 2. The first version gave up to 2.0%, 2.3% and 2.6%0

If you had opened it two weeks ago, you would have got 2.3% for 10 years and 2.6% for 15 years. Apparently, existing accounts still get those rates, new accounts get the lower rates.
I've got £10 in mine as I opened it just in case I needed it as it seemed to be a limited offer (still using my PO 3.17% and Halifax 2.8% accounts)
You can also open it over the phone by speaking to their bonds department via the 0800 number. This is how I opened mine. Details and passbook come in the post.0 -
Gromit, now it's a minimum of £1000 to open!0

... but as soon as it's open you can take the balance down to just £1.0 -
Am I right in thinking that a husband and wife can have one account each, in their own names only, OR one joint account?.Waddle you do eh?0

I have been with Nationwide for well over 20 years but this so-called loyalty account is currently bettered by quite a few accounts elsewhere.
The 4-25% ISA offered by Nationwide earlier this year was good. This is not a great offer and I won't be taking it up.0 -
marathon man, I have been with the Nationwide around 40yrs, and like other banks/b.s. they have had good offers in the past.
Yes, it's not brilliant but worth opening as who knows what may be around when my Santander 3.2% e-saver finishes next year?Look what they are offering now for a new e-saver!!!!
I have no loyalty whatsoever to banks, utility providers etc, it's every man/woman for themselves now:(
However you can guarantee that a good offer finishes just before any bonds etc I have mature. It seems to have been that way ever since the Northern Rock fiasco.0 -

These rates can't last long with the big boys now setting the mark at 1.5%."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0 -
New issue:
For 5 years membership the interest rate is now 1.70% gross p.a./AER variable.
For 10 years membership the interest rate is now 1.90% gross p.a./AER variable.
For 15 years membership the interest rate is now 2.10% gross p.a./AER variable.0 -
Anyone know if you can have an Issue 1 and an Issue 3 at the same time?0
