savings account with dd out

wrinklie
I am looking for an account where I can deposit, say, £10K and then make direct debits of, say, £270 per month over 3 years and still earn interest at better than 2%. Obviously the interest reduces but I'd probably make 1 free dd over the 3 years.

Might be better to divide the amount into three amounts of £3333 - put the second portion into a one year bond and the third into a two year bond.
Set up a regular payment out of the first portion into your linked account?

Savings accounts generally don't allow D/D out. I suspect you mean standing order. Have a look at the feeder accounts section of the regular-saver thread : http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=6932895&postcount=9
Current accounts obviously do allow D/D and S/O. Some pay a decent interest rate, though there are usually catches. Eg LLoyds vantage and Santander 123.0 -
