New money?
Hi everyone, this may seem a dumb question but if, as I have, I close an ISA account I have with Santander and get my money back, can I then apply for a new Santander ISA account which would then pay me 3.20% instead of the rubbish interest I got for the last 12mths. :(

Barclays Growthbuilder
I have just seen a Barclays financial adviser who tried to sell me their growth builder investment plan. It's a six year tie in but he claims can deliver 39.6% profit with the capital secured. This sounds too good and also very similar to Equity Bonds from the Post Office. Does any one have any comments? Many thanks Colin

I'd also like to be able to open an account without having to…

Another day another new HL promoted fund
The market must be getting frothy as new funds, it appears, are being launched by the day. This time it's Schroders with Global Alpha Plus managed by Virginie Maisonneuve. I fell out of love with Schroders several years ago as their performance was (IMO) lacklustre but, for the last year or two, the minimal investments I…

Shares: buying/selling differences
Hi all, When I was 18/19 (roughly 11 years ago) I went through a phase where I was buying and selling shares online. I am thinking about doing so again much later in the year, perhaps 2011. Until then am going to start reading up again on buying and selling shares. Maybe someone can answer a question I have, as there was…
