Time Limit for Selling Complaint
I've just been clearing out some old paperwork and found something which might be helpful in making a complaint about the way in which a with profits policy was sold. This dates back about ten years and I cashed in the policy a couple of years ago. Does anybody know which date is relevant? Obviously if it is the selling…

The rise of the AUD
I have some £ saved in an online savings account with instant access. I have been thinking about moving out to Oz but with the rise of the AUD against the pound my £ is worth less and less each day. I am not sure what to do (whether to convert now or leave it in the UK) because part of me thinks that the £ will have to…

Nationwide Smart Account (Children's Account)
I have a Nationwide Smart Account for my daughter who is 8. She has £4000 in it and it's not earning as much interest as I thought it would. I am thinking of moving the money. I don't want her to access it until she is 18. I've had a look on some of the search engines for children's accounts and they are not at all good. I…

How diverse are your investments? Huge inflation coming?
I was visiting with my dad this weekend and he's convinced in the U.S. at least, inflation is about to get out of control. As a result, he's moving even more money out of C.D.s (he's never believed in the stock market) and into land (farms, rental units, apartments and such). Prior to our chat, I was pretty comfortable…

Interest rate retreat?
So Egg pulls its 3.25% instant access account, West Brom BS pulls its 1 year fixed 3.9% account and Bucks BS cuts its Regular Saver rate (twice!!!). All of these were market leaders. Is this just a coincidence, or does it mark the beginning of a retreat in rates for savers?

Problem in opening Nat West Regular Saver
The terms of this account require another product, either saving or current account. As I have the e-saver I made an appoinment at my local branch to open one. My issue... I have read various commentators predicting a significant fall in the UK housing market over the next few months, and my personal view is that the market is still very inflated.
