Please, please, please, can someone help me?
My boyfriend does not have a bank account. He works part time and his wages go into his best friends bank account. Is this even legal? As I thought it wasn't however, he said it was?
Thank you, Jess

It is not an illegality for him to pay his wages into his friends account so long as they both consent.
however, why doesnt your BF have his own account. Most banks offer basic account suitable for those that have had credit issues in the past.
What is the nature of your BF's problems - past and current. The more info we have, the better we can help0 -
Sorry but that sounds well dodgey to me!
What happens if he falls out with his BF??0 -
He has had money problems in the past, he moved to my area 2 years ago and in the move lost his passport. He does not have a drivers licence either, so he has not had the correct documents to open up a new bank account. Due to only having a part time job, money was tight and couldnt spear the money for a passport as there £80. However, he has just sent off for this so i'm hoping he can now get a bank account when his passport comes back. Thank you for your help0

If he falls out with his best friend..... he's screwed!! but what else can he do for now?0

Lost his passport and no other ID, and has his money paid into someone else's bank account? Check his shoes. If there is a microphone in them, or retractable dagger, he is a spy. Otherwise, are you sure he's not an illegal immigrant?0

If he moved there two years ago, he'll have been on the Electoral Register for that length of time, so shouldn't have too much trouble opening, say, a savings account that he can pay his salary into.
Or, er, maybe he failed to do that as well? If so, he sounds either very dodgy or very unlucky. Either way, watch out.0 -
His friends bank wont take kindly to having another party using it. The bank may offer products to the account owner due to the funds going through it- eg affordability for a loan or a mortgage will be judged on this total income which is not solely his. This will probably break the terms and conditions and he may have the account closed which would then leave him unable to open another account with another bank as they will be able to see that he has misused his facility and banks dont like that. Your friend needs to be very carefull and is probably unaware of the problems he may face.0

Or indeed, the tax man! Can his friend account for the income?0

If he hasn't any documentation how has he got a job ?0
