If (hypothetically speaking) you discovered a 20 year old bank account, how would the interest be calculated on any savings in the account? Would the bank use the current interest rate to calculate compound interest, or would it use historic rates from each year? Sorry if this is a stupid question:confused: - very grateful…

OK then, who's brave?
Who's prepared to put their neck on the line, and predict when interest rates are going to rise again to above, say, 4%? Be bold people! (Don't worry, we won't hold you to anything! - I'm just very interested in finding out how people are predicting this all to go...)

What are they playing at?
When my mother died 20 years ago, all her assets were divided equally between the grandchildren which would be paid out to them when they each reached 25. My youngest son who is the youngest grandchild, is now 25, and has had nothing but trouble trying to claim his share. Apparently, his money was reinvested a few years…

Stick with ISA, or get lower mortgage
Hi, My wife and I have around £25k in a cash ISA. Investment Fund Advice
Hi, I am considering investing in a few retail funds, though I will need to engage professional help in making my choices as I have no expertise in that area. Opinions on best Savings Acct (not ISA)
Do people have any opinions on which Savings Accts (ignoring ISAs) offer the best interest rate ? Giving notice before withdrawals isn't an issue. I have an ISA lined up so was hoping for some suggestions on which Savings other people are using. Thanks in advance!
