British Energy share sale to EDF
I have received details of offers for BE shares. This tome is almost indigestible. Has anyone got any advice to offer in this economic climate of the likely best course of action. Or better still can they explain in English what is being offered.

I just found that since I'm a student and earn under £6000 a year I shouldn't have to pay any tax on my savings - but I've never filled out an R85 form and so any interest I've received has been taxed. I currently have around £5000 in savings, this having fluctuated over the years and between a couple of different bank…

Colleagues have been running a staff savings scheme where money is taken from salary each month and paid to a building society account. We then withdraw it all + interest in early November and pay out by cheque to everyone. The idea isn't to make huge amounts of interest but to save for Christmas without having to think…
