HBOS child regular saver

I got my annual statement for my daughters regular saver today.Halfway down it says that the "regular saver fixed interest rate for the next 12 months will be 7.000% gross per annum" yet the website and comparison sites are still showing the rate as 10%.I have asked for clarification as there are better rates out there if this is the case but I havn't heard anything back so far.Anyone else know what is going on?

Ring them to check the rate on the account is 10%.

It should be, unless somebody's set it up wrong. I assume she is under 16?

Was the childs date of birth keyed correctly? As far as I know it is still 10% for children's reg savers and haven't heard of any change! The 7% is for the full adult reg saver.... unless they have made a mistake!

What a pity you 2 dont work for HBOS,that was a quick reply! Everything about setting up my 2 kids,both well under 16, reg savers was put through incorrectly.DD was charged 20% tax despite registering both kids for gross tax and all their accounts had to be corrected today by HO.Unfortunately i only noticed "the information on your account" after I was off the phone.I've sent an email but I may have to phone to check its not an adult reg saver account.

Mine matured last month, and the statement said 10% for the coming year.
