British Energy share sale to EDF

I have received details of offers for BE shares. This tome is almost indigestible. Has anyone got any advice to offer in this economic climate of the likely best course of action. Or better still can they explain in English what is being offered.

    In a word "no".
The all cash offer seems straightforward enough on the face of it but what I don't understand is why the shares are trading at so much below the offer price, I can only presume "the market" thinks there is a risk the deal will not go through, I've no idea why as this deal seems to have government blessing.

The cash + "power note" offer - like you I've no idea what this means.
