I was told the other day whilst in the B&B that their bond and ISA rates are to be pulled this weekend.
  • Just rang Marsden, it's gone.
According to the Newcastle BS site, "There are currently no fixed rate bonds available, please check back soon."

Are Clydesdale part of any bigger banking group?

Now who the hell are Julian Hodge and can I trust them?!?

    Thanks !
  • Clydesdale are part of the National Australia Bank

Don't worry about Julian Hodge - the Capital Millennium Bond has been temporarily withdrawn now anyway.
  • Clydesdale / Yorkshire Banks are still offering the Fixed Term Deposits fixed at 6% for a year, 6.05% for 18months or 2 years and 6.1% for three years. Call them on 0800 012 1111 to register you can get them to send you the forms in which case the rate is guaranteed 14 days, or print off online in which case the rate is guaranteed for 5 days (which is what I have just done)..

I used Julian Hodge a couple of years ago, I think the main office is in Cardiff, they have seemed to have good rates, but haven't used them recently as its all done by post, that was ok a couple of years ago, but nowadays I want as much as possible internet accessible. Saying that I've always found their customer service to be good.
