Hi all, Since last night I have been unable to log in to ICICI, either via First Direct, or directly with ICICI. I can get my username and password in, then I go to the next screen which is now mostly white but has the ICICI logo top right. Except no text or account info appears and at the lower left of Internet Explorer…

The New Leeds ISA Inflation Buster
Hello Forum I am new here. Just querying whether the new potential 12% inflation busting Cash ISA from Leeds Building Society is actually a good thing or if a hidden sting exists in its tail, other than leaving your money in there for two years. The other question is whether you can add to it during the two years or not.…

Principality Building Society
Hello, I was looking at the Principality Building Society with a view to transfer my TOISA with the Nationwide to them. At 6% for their internet ISA, it better than the nationwide. Anybody had any dealing with this Building society or any points about this account.

Should I open an 8% savings account using a R85 or use an ISA?
I’m currently in full time education and only have a part time job. I want to open a savings account. Have I got this right by saying, id be better to open an 8% account and use a R85 because I don’t earn enough to get taxed. Instead of opening an ISA?

I'm getting kind of mixed signals about the Spanish property market: I was under the impression that the Spanish market was already in a big downturn - aka, crash - but it seems some reports are still talking about a crash yet to happen: http://www.property-roadmap.co.uk/186-property-crash-in-spain.html Can anyone on the…

Various savings accounts - close or keep open?
I have several savings accounts, 10/15 years old, with no transactions for years, with Halifax & Alliance Leicester but interest rates all rubbish. My options seem to be to close all and go elsewhere. Ask if the accounts could be moved to ones paying higher interst rates but would they need to carry out Money Laundering…

Getting money out of online accounts
I want to transfer some of my savings from my HSBC account paying a measly 3.2% to one paying a higher rate and as per Martin's advice, looked at Kaupthing Edge Online savings. I then was a good girl and read the T&Cs and it appears from there that it would cost me upto £37 to get any money out? (T&C 7.6.2) Have I…

ING ISA or Kaupthing Account?
Good morning! I've got an ISA with ING Direct which currently gives 4.65% but I've seen the Kaupthing Edge account with 6.36% gross (6.55% AER) and I don't know which is better for me. Does the higher interest of the Kaupthing account actually give more as it's not tax free like the ISA? I've got £1900 to save at the…

Nationwide Cuts Savings Rates
If you are an old Portman 50+Monthly Interest Iss Pt3 Monthly Saver account holder you need to very carefully check the letter dated August 2008 which you received from Nationwide regarding the change in Interest Rates. They cut the rate which was anyway a miserly 4.10% in half to a disgraceful 2.10% and this cut will be…
