Faster payments - who can send and receive
It's been suggested that a list of which banks and building societies can send and/or receive faster payments would be a useful resource. I thought I'd start a new thread with this and keep the first post updated with the latest comments (in the same way that the Regular Saver thread works). These are only listed where…

Investing In Silver
I like the idea of investing in silver via "unallocated funds", e-silver. Does any one have any advise on the matter. I started buying silver coins last year but the tax and premiums are not making it cost effective. Any one had any dealing with Kitco or Perth Mint? Any Advise? Cheers LVH

Would my money be better off in high interest a/c instead of ISA if I dont pay tax?
As I am a student and work part time, I don't earn enough to be paying tax, so would my savings be better off in a high interest savings account, like Kaupthing Edge, as I currently have most of it in an ISA which pays 5.50%, and some in an account which pays 4.30%, although I have moved some into Halifax's Web saver, as…

Premium Bonds, ISAs & Savings Accounts - help?
I have a garunteed tracker (saving account) with Lloyds TSB. I got a letter from them this morning, that said - the rate I'm currently getting is garunteed until July 31st 2008. Then there's some stuff about Bank of England & Base Rate. (I don't have a clue how any of that works!) My dad has advised me to look on the…

Best way to invest £80,000 without tying it up for too long
We've always been very slap-dash with savings in the past, placing convenience and lack of hassle over return on investment. But nowadays it seems that we get non-stop hassle on our poor performance accounts so we've decided to make an effort to ensure that our time spent on admin pays off! We've got around £80,000 in…

Egg savings asking for employer's address
I've been an egg customer for since they first launched, although I've left both the savings account and credit card dormant for a while as there were better deals elsewhere. Kaupthing Edge
Hello! I know there's a huge KE thread below which is very interesting. I just wanted to check a people's thought on the product itself. It seems very good.
