Investing In Silver

I like the idea of investing in silver via "unallocated funds", e-silver. Does any one have any advise on the matter. I started buying silver coins last year but the tax and premiums are not making it cost effective.
Any one had any dealing with Kitco or Perth Mint?
Any Advise?

Cheers

As always, DYOR (do your own research) but I'd suggest you start by reading some of the forum threads highlighted in this Google search.

Goldmoney would be where I'd personally direct my business.

Or you could trade the Silver ETF inside an ISA with someone like Selftrade but there have also been doubts as to whether the ETF's have the physical on hand.

Fear not old bean, I'm DYORing. I have been lurking on may a silver bug forum and do have concerns about ETF not having the silver to back up their accounts.
The other option is to order silver from the States and pay the 17.5% which still makes it cheaper than over here and I get to hold it.

Silver ETF's seem to be a big gamble, so to reduce the risk I would need to go with a one of the more reputable ones.

If holding it in the form of a fund you need to investigate which ones hold physical and which may hold some but simply use optinos etc.

(p.s. me, I use Central Fund of Canada)

I did notice that quit a few don't hold ALL the PM's in the accounts, bit worrying if you ask me.
