When i spoke to K Edge they said I need to tell NAtwest to set up account number as 00000000 and then have my account number and name as a reference. Reason…

Savings Accounts with regular withdrawals
Anyone have any thoughts on what savings accounts are best for someone with up to £100k to save, but regularly dips and out of this amount, e.g taking out £5k to £50k in a random month, then adding same back in few months later? Lots of good rates seem to apply only if you keep money in for whole period, which i wont be…

Is a Regular Saver (Halifax 7%) still a good deal
Hello. I'd welcome a little advice... I save £250 each month in the 7% Halifax Regular Saver. Could you tell me if Regular Saver accounts are a good way to save or is it a better deal to invest the lump sum of £3000 (£250 x 12) in a fixed rate account at a lower rate (eg 6.86%)? Thank you in advance. BG

savings for a non tax payer
I work part time and do not earn enough per annum to pay tax. My DH pays 40% tax on his earnings. He has an ISA with Barclays which he opened last year (Tax Beater Cash ISA) which has now dropped it's interest rate to 5.31% I think. The rest of our savings are in my Icesave Easy Access savings account. I do not have an…

Savings account vs Natwest One Account
I am in the position of having just sold my house, and not expecting to buy for another 6 months or so, leaving me with around £20,000 as a deposit to save. I would like to repay my parents some of the help they gave me when first buying, but they'll hear nothing of a cash sum from that deposit. I'm hoping, however, that…

20k to invest for my childrens inheritance
I have just had news that my children aged 18 and 16 are to receive 20k as inheritance from their recently deceased mothers pension fund. I believe they will share the money 50/50. I would be grateful for any advice on how they can invest the money in the best way or would it be easier to just give it to the tax man now?…

Is ING waking up???
Just had a letter from ING offering a six month savings rate of 6.5%, and 12 months at 6.2%. Only requirement seems to be a minimum amount of five grand. It may not be ground-breaking, but perhaps someone at ING has finally noticed that they are heamorraging savings money, who knows.

Best way to buy Apple shares?
I have a bit of spare cash that needs investing. I have been an Apple computers follower for many years (ok Apple geek or fanboy if you like) and I've laughed many times at the "official" comments on the future of Apple only to be proved right over time. I'm thinking if I am so knowledgeable about this company why don't I…
