Best way to save £1,600 a month
I'm starting to save for a house. Could anyone suggest the best place to save my money. I would want to get at it quickly when I do finally have enough to get a house. I currently have a cahoot account but am unsure if this is the best option for me.

Quick Halifax Regualr Saver A/C Question
My 12 months is almost up. I think the last debit from my current a/c (with another bank) happens later this month. Will the direct debit continue and will Halifax use it to lock me in for another 12 months? I have no intention of regular saving with Halifax for another 12 months.

Smoking and Retirement
Quitting smoking is good. However, the only time in your life you benefit as a smoker is when you buy your annuity from a private pension fund accumulated. Annuity providers dont expect you to live long so you get a much better rate. I quitted six months after arranging my annuity. I want the maximum from them !
