Redudancy or job you don't want
Hi, Wanting some opinions. If you were told you are to be made redundant within the next year or you can take a different job within the same company, what would you do? The job being offered would be a step down, longer hours, poor people within the team, not something you really want, but it would pay the bills. I am…

What are the options (other than paying into my pension) regarding tax efficient handling of a redundancy payment? I know the first £30k is tax free but if the sum was quite large (say £150k in total) is there any other way the company could package it up in a tax efficient way that didn't affect their costs? Payment in lieu of notice
If I am being made redundant and the company pays me my 3 month notice period in lieu of working, will I be eligible for unemployment benefits after my last day at work or will I have to wait for my 3 months notice period to expire before I can claim any benefits?

Not sure I'll get anything as only been employed for 6…

Confused over redundancy entitlement.
I have been reading this: https://www.gov.uk/redundant-your-rights/notice-periods ...but to me it's not clear. I realise that I do not qualify for statutory redundancy pay since I have not been working for the company for two years. However the section about the notice period has confused me. To explain, we have been given…
