TRAIN - Fareham to Manchester Airport and Return
I suppose I'm being a bit lazy here. Travelling from Fareham [Hampshire] to Manchester Airport on 11 June, and returning on 18 June. I want to avoid London, and will change trains probably at Winchester, Birmingham and Manchester Piccadilly. I imagine this involves more than one Network. I realise I can't book the tickets…

Oyster card for visitors- help please!
I have been reading TfL's website and still can't quite work out how best to do this. I shall be travelling to London village in the Spring with my two children, aged 11 and 15. We need to make a return journey from Paddington to South Kensington. The Oyster card prices are much cheaper than paper prices, BUT seeing as…

Nectar points for Virgin trains
A while ago I mistakenly redeemed Nectar points for Virgin trains, not noticing that I could then only get East Coast Virgin (now LNER, I know). They expire in May but I have no likelihood of ever using them on that route. Do you know if they are transferable to someone else to use? Seems a shame to let them go to waste.

Compelled to go to other platform to buy ticket
Any legal beagles or Conditions of carriage specialists out there? Rail conditions of carriage compel the passenger to have a ticket even if the only ticket booth/machine is on a platform othrr than the one from which the passenger's service is departing. If the walk from the departure platform to the ticket office/machine…

Bus delay compensation
Is there a delay repay or compensation claim available on service buses? Yesterday my 15:07 Traws Cymru bus got cancelled, the next 17:07 was over 30 mins late meaning I missed the last connecting bus to my destination. I then needed to catch a train at extra cost to myself. Do I have a claim if so who do I claim off the…

A query if I miss my connecting train....
Hi. I haven't travelled by train in nearly 20 years so not sure what happens in this scenario. I'll be catching a train with my wife/kids from Gatwick Airport. After just over an hour it stops at Reading Station where we have 12 mins to change platform and change train to final destination. If our train is LATE arriving at…

Possible to claim? Worth it?
I had a nightmare journey last weekend, West Wales to London Paddington. Train from Haverfordwest was replaced by a bus (no announcements, had to ask why no train) and this meant we were late making the connection in Carmarthen, and then we missed the Cardiff connection so I arrived at Paddington about 90 minutes later…
