BT 0845/0870 free calls question
BT currently allow 1,000 minutes of calls a month to 0845/0870 numbers on their call packages. If you go over this, they say you'll be charged for these calls "until further notice". Does this mean that you could still continue to be charged even into the next month? If not, how is a month defined - are we talking a…

BT Final Bills
Hey all, I was just confronted with a final BT bill. I've put it off too long and now even though my line continues to work they say that the account has been canceled and that there's an £87 'one off charge' (for the cancellation) plus the rest of the bill putting the total at £160ish. I told the call center agent that I…

I know this is the wrong board, but I can't find anything for digital TV. I was wondering if anyone knows if Sky have, or are going to have any free offers to join? They have them occasionally and they work out a bit cheaper than Virgin. Thanks

£125 for soldering two wires together?
About 4 months ago, I moved to a new house which already had a phone socket but no phone connected. I called up BT to see about having a phone connected and they insisted there had never been a phoneline connected to the property by them and if I wanted a phoneline putting in, I'd have to pay the connection charge. I…

Complaining to BT (Desperate Help Needed!)
I joined Sky back in November as they told me if I joined them, they would cover the £124.99 BT connection charge as long as I could provide them with an invoice form BT within 3 months of joining. I have been trying every week since the end of November for BT to produce me an invoice and have got absolutley nowhere. And…

18185 gateway calls
On the few occasions that I use 0845 numbers, I use 18185’s gateway number (as recommended by Heinz). On checking my 18185 itemised invoice, these numbers appear as 0808-0044, then the rest of the 0845 number, but without the 0. What is the 0044 number? It appears on all of the different 0845 numbers I’ve used the gateway…

Free call overseas using 0870 numbers from BT landline
Hello Folks Came across www.my0870.com which allows you to map an international number to an 0870 number, so when you call the 0870 number you get through straightaway. Its a bit like when you call a bank in the UK on 0870 which is then mapped onto the geo number. AFAIK this is not an indirect access code, so should not be…

Sky talk and over ride providers
I have just joined sky talk and line rental (6months 1/2 price) and I have read some where that you can not use over ride providers. Can anyone confirm if this is the case? Does it mean services such as 18185 and/or the 0844 numbers? I mainly use the phone E and W which are free but make 1 or 2 calls to Oz a month where I…

BT Unlimited Weekend plan - need to make chargeable calls to get it
I have noticed this on the following BT page: http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=25499#tab2 I haven't noticed anyone else mentioning the highlighted point, so I thought I would. Not much of an issue if all your calls go through BT anyway, but if you use a CPS provider like…
