Can anyone Help?! I have recently moved in with my partner and have let my house out. So when I went to cancel my BT line & package (Bt Option 2) at my house, to my surprise I was told I was tied into an 18 month contract!!!! (If I had been told this at the time of joining, then I would not have gone ahead with it.) Yes,…

1899 - can hear other people's phone calls
My parents and I both use 1899 for our phone calls; however a few times over the last few months my parents have tried to dial me using their phone memory and instead of getting me they have been patched into someone else's phone call in mid conversation. The last time my father said he could hear a man who was talking…

Splitting Tiscali bundle
I've currently got a bundle package from Tiscali which covers Broadband (8MB allegedly), phone and phone line rental at £19.99 a month. I am really unhappy with the phone service and the quality of customer support in dealing with simple problems. I've basically had enough and would like to switch this part of the bundle…

BT Adds package then I get charged 130£ for cancelling
I signed up to the most basic option on BT, however, they then decided to add a 25% Off mobile package to save me money, without me saying ok. It would seem it was automatically triggered. I then moved to SKY which was always my intention. However as this was outside the 7 days that they allow u to cancel. I recieve a bill…

Getting out of BT contract
I am on the basic BT contract for 11 quid a month. I've unexpectedly had to move house and would like to get out of the contract (not yet halfway through it). Is there any way to get out of the contract without paying the remaining amount left on it? They say there is no express cancellation charge! Thanks.

You moved house but your phoneline didn't-can you beat 6 weeks late?
Have any of you waited as long or longer than this? I want to make a collection of the Onetel/BT incompetence to write about. I moved premises nearly 6 weeks ago and one phone line has not been moved and another was only moved last week. Despite 4 or 5 visits from BT engineers and days spent on the phone to Talk Talk…

Calling a green Nº in USA
Hi! I need to call USA but I only have a 1800 Nº, which is free there, of course. Does anybody now how I can "convert" it to an ordinary Nº to use one of the budget companies listed here, as I usually do? Thanks a lot!

Orange Home Phone Max
I'm surprised that this service doesn't seem to be metioned here (or even in Martin's article). It's broadband (<8Mb 'unlimited'), line rental, extra line (via the net using supplied hardware) and calls (exclusions apply, as usual) for £24 per month. My own analysis suggests that TalkTalk are the only ones that can beat…

BT direct debit refunds
I've just spent an hour on the phone to BT about my direct debit (including my calls being redirected, put on hold and then cut off) - this post is danger of being a rant and belonging in the vent board  as it is not clear from the BT webpage, their telephone "press a number for your enquiry" system or once I…

BT or Virgin
I have BT phone, Sky TV and O2 broadband. I am moving home and will transfer these services to my telephone number, but there is a virgin landline, not BT at my new address. BT is charging £125 for activating the landline. Is it possible to move Sky TV and O2 broadband on virgin landline, instead of paying £125 to BT. My…
