18185 increased charges
I have just tried to phone Eire and the announcement told me it was 2p a minute. Has this gone up for the festive season as their website states that the call charge is 1p per minute. This is not the first time the price has been increased without any notification. Can I have some feedback please.

I posted this on the 'arms' board where it was met with muted response. am I the only one that thinks that this is wrong? AN 0800 NUMBER THAT COSTS MONEY? Check out the latest 118118 TV advert. Bt callout charges (merged threads)
Hi all this is a bit long winded so please bear with me. we live just off the main road down a short (30ft) lane. We have always had a BT phone line here. Every time we have high winds there is a problem with the line and it goes crackly or cuts off. Couple of weeks ago there was an intermittent phoneline and broadband…

Misled by BT, could I ask your advice?
My friend was misled by BT customer service and would like to ask your advice. He was going to move out his previous flat and move to a new place. He was told by landlord of previous flat that he had to stop telephone service by 30th November. At that time he had not signed the tenancy agreement of new flat yet so he was…

What thoughts?
I am a light user of the home phone. I call the odd mini-cab and pizza delivery etc. My phone is BT stand-alone ie. not bundled with any TV/broadband package. I have a mobile phone (PAYG) which I hardly use. Would it not be worth my while cancelling the BT line altogether thereby saving on line-rental. I'm sure the savings…

New BT number from scratch?
How do you get the 'new number' from BT where you have moved in and the previous occupant has rented their line from BT and taken it (their number) with them when they moved? Can BT charge anything except line rental in order to 'reconnect' the line? Aren't replacement numbers pre-allocated in such circumstances? Thanks
