BT Text Alternatives

If I wanted to send/receive texts on a BT landline (using a phone), is there any alternative to using BT Text?

    Unless you moved your landline to another supplier from BT your texts From your homephone handset would have to go via BT.

    You can however Recieve them from any supplier that offers Text to Landline.
