Adventures in Homebrewland (image heavy - you have been warned!)
Hello boys and girls! I started my first homebrew experiment off yesterday (cheapskate's cider), and took lots of pictures :D Here's my method if anyone else fancies having a go  [1] First of all, get your kit sorted: Sterilised demi-john (or any big bottle tbh, large 5l plastic squash bottles could be ok) Some…
Wholemeal Flour
I am currently making Banana Loaf in my breadmaker and the recipe uses Wholemeal self raising flour. Wholemeal SR flour in the supermarket is approx. 3 times as expensive as normal SR and comes in 1k bags as opposed to normal 1.5K for normal SR. I have been wondering about adding some bran to normal SR Flour? Also wondered…

Omelettes in micro/oven combi
Does anyone know how to cook omelettes in a combined microwave/convection oven/grill please? I want to use up some of our eggs for lunch, and don't want to turn on the Rayburn which is turned off for a bit of money saving as it runs on LPG.

I have a shallow baking dish that I thought I could…

Banana skin curry??
On Sunday Life, BBC1, this morning, there was a discussion about using leftovers. An elderly lady had written a book which included banana skin curry but no clues regarding the recipe. Anyone bought the book or got any ideas?
Chinese 5 spice...

But I haven't got a clue what i'm doing to be honest. Does anyone have a recipe they could share. I am making a sunday lunch today so wanted to use the left over chicken…
