Wholemeal Flour

I am currently making Banana Loaf in my breadmaker and the recipe uses Wholemeal self raising flour.
Wholemeal SR flour in the supermarket is approx. 3 times as expensive as normal SR and comes in 1k bags as opposed to normal 1.5K for normal SR.
I have been wondering about adding some bran to normal SR Flour?
Also wondered about adding to strong flour ?
Anyone else have any suggestions?

I don't see why this wouldn't work :T I sometimes just use regular flour when wholemeal is called for in a baking recipe.
Let us know how it turns out, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0
